WGP Deluxe 2025 Season 2 【Cardfight!! Vanguard Regional Qualifier Tournament #2】 | |
Eligibility | ☆All players with Malaysian citizenship/permanent resident visa, or student/working visa may participate in the regional qualifier (ID check will be requested). ☆Foreigners are not allowed to participate in this tournament. |
Language | ☆Only Japanese edition cards may be used. |
Deck & Cards | ☆All Japanese version cards officially released in Japan and distributed before or on the tournament day can be used. ☆It is mandatory to register the deck (submit the deck list) upon tournament registration. ☆Differences between the deck list and the actual deck used in the tournament may result in a penalty. ☆VG-D Ride decks will be used for this format. It is mandatory to indicate your ride deck in your deck list. ☆Players must use the same deck throughout a tournament. ☆No switching of cards is permitted in between games within a tournament. ☆Please also refer to the latest Japanese version of the tournament rules at : Fighters Rule |
Sleeving | ☆Fighters are required to use opaque card sleeves so that the back of cards cannot be easily distinguished. ☆Oversleeves with a Matte finish on one side and Gloss finish on the other side are allowed. However, the Matte finish must be uniform throughout, on either the front or back of the cards. Oversleeves with patterns or borders are not allowed. ☆You are not allowed to use Standard sized sleeves for your main deck. ☆Sleeves used for all cards must be of the same design unless otherwise stated. Exception: You MUST use different card sleeves from your main deck for your Ride Deck. |
Regulation & Format | ☆Individual / Standard (VG-D) format ☆30 min/round. ☆Best of 1, Swiss (Number of rounds will be dependent on the number of participants and schedule) , ☆Players will be randomly placed into 2 blocks to compete in the swiss rounds on Day 1. The Top 16 of each block will then be placed into one ‘Top 32 Block’ and will compete in the finals on Day 2. ☆Cut to Top 32, Best of 1, Single Elimination. |
Time-out Policy | ☆Until Top 8: time-up is counted as a loss for both parties. The judge can decide to give extra time in case of lost time during a round. ☆For Top 8→Top 4: Extra turn according to the following rules: 1. Players must stop playing when time is up (even in the middle of their turn) and call the judge. 2. After the Judge’s approval, players resume their play (only one turn each). 3. In case a winner cannot be designated after the above “2.”, the fighter with the most damage will lose the game. If the damage is still the same, repeat the extra turn 3 times until the winner is decided. ☆If there is a “simultaneous loss” during the extra turn, the player waiting for his turn will win. ☆There is no time limit for the Top 4. |

Things to Bring | ☆Please bring your ID to the venue. ☆Please always bring your own writing materials such as a ballpoint pen. ☆ Players must complete the Deck Registration Form and submit the deck list during registration. |
ACCESSORIES REGULATIONS
Counters & Dice
☆ Items with numeric value (e.g. Currency & Dice) are not allowed to be used as a Fighter’s Coin.
☆ Items used as Fighter’s Coin must not exceed 2.5cm in diameter & 4cm in height or have a high center of gravity.
☆ Dice are not allowed to be used for note-taking, e.g. representing the amount or type of cards of a specific type or in a certain area and can only be used to represent things that are open information to both players.
NAME REGULATION
☆ Players are to ensure that the “Handle Name” (Nick Name) and/or “Deck List Name” used in the Bushi Navi App and Decklog does not contain the following;
☆ Offensive words or terms (applicable to all languages).
☆ Derogatory words or terms (applicable to all languages).
☆ Words or terms which lack morality (applicable to all languages).
☆ Words, terms or statements which deem to be unsuitable, inappropriate or excessive by the organisers.
☆ For “Handle Name” (Nick Name) and/or “Deck List Name” to contain such terms, the organisers may deny the check-in or registration of the player on tournament day.
If any of the problem stated is found during the tournament, the player may get a penalty or be disqualified.
☆ For players who wish to change their “Handle Name” (Nick Name) after they have signed up or register for the event, please refer to the following steps;
☆ For players who wish to change their “Deck List Name” after they have signed up or register for the event, you will have to re-create your “Deck List Name” in Decklog and resubmit with the updated changes.
VENUE REGULATION & SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY
☆ Consumption of outside food and drinks is not allowed. (Personal water bottles are allowed.)
☆ Please practice general area cleanliness.
☆ Please take care of your own belongings at all times.
☆ Please practice good personal hygiene at all times.
☆ Please conduct yourself with good behavior throughout the event.
☆ The event organizer reserves the right to reject entry or change anyone deemed to be violating the regulations and guidelines.
What is WGP MALAYSIA?
A. World Grand Prix Malaysia, a competitive card gaming tournament for Cardfight!! Vanguard, held by Engkodok Games and wholly supported by Bushiroad. WGP is split into 4 seasons where the winner will represent Malaysia in the WGP World Finals in Japan.

A. WGP Malaysia Season 2 will be held at Mid Valley Megamall, Lingkaran Syed Putra, Mid Valley City, 59200 Kuala Lumpur, Wilayah Persekutuan Kuala Lumpur.
What games/cards can I use for WGP MALAYSIA Season 1?
A. Only Japanese edition cards may be used for this tournament. Only cards released before the tournament date may be used.
