WGP Deluxe is back for 2025 and the battle to determine Malaysia’s strongest Cardfighter is upon us. Season 1 will see the Top 8 secure their spot for the finals held later this year!

WGP Deluxe 2025 Season 1  

Cardfight!! Vanguard Regional Qualifier Tournament #1 

Eligibility 

All players with citizenship/permanent resident visa, or student/working visa may participate in their regional qualifier. (ID check might be requested) 

There will be a region lock on the eligibility of receiving invites to the World Finals. 

Language 

Only Japanese edition cards may be used. 

Deck & Cards 

All Japanese version cards officially released in Japan and distributed before or on the tournament day can be used. 

It is mandatory to register the deck (submit the deck list) upon tournament registration. Discrepancies between the deck list and the actual deck used in the tournament may result in a penalty. 

VG-D Ride decks will be used for this format. It is mandatory to indicate your ride deck in your deck list. 

A player must use the same deck throughout a tournament.                                                    

No switching of cards is permitted in between games within a tournament.

Sleeving 

Fighters are required to use opaque card sleeves so that the back of cards cannot be easily distinguished. 

Oversleeves with a Matte finish on one side and Gloss finish on the other side are allowed. However, the Matte finish must be uniform throughout, on either the front or back of the cards. Oversleeves with patterns or borders are not allowed. 

You are not allowed to use Standard sized sleeves for your main deck. 

Sleeves used for all cards must be of the same design unless otherwise stated.      

Exception: You MUST use different card sleeves from your main deck for your Ride Deck. 

Regulation & Format 

Individual / Standard (VG-D) format 

30 min/round 

Best of 1, Swiss (Number of rounds will be dependent on the number of participants and schedule)  

Cut to Top 16 or 32 depending on the number of participants and schedule, Best of 1, Single Elimination. 

Time-out Policy 

Until Top 8/16: time-up is counted as a loss for both parties. 

The judge can decide to give extra time in case of lost time during a round. 

For top 8/16Top 4: Extra turn according to the following rules: 

  1. Players must stop playing when time is up (even in the middle of their turn) and call the judge. 
  2. After the Judge’s approval, players resume their play (only one turn each). 
  3. In case a winner cannot be designated after the above “2.”, the fighter with the most damage will lose the game. If the damage is still the same, repeat the Extra turn 3 times until the winner is decided. 

If there is a “simultaneous loss” during the extra turn, the player waiting for his turn will win. 

There is no time limit for the Top 4.
